一、雅思詞匯在聽說讀寫四部分的作用
聽力：主要考察學生在英語環(huán)境里對語言的理解和運用能力。素材很廣，而且絕大部分來自于真實的語言環(huán)境。
閱讀：尤其是academic 閱讀，更是會涉及到不少專業(yè)知識

二、基本詞匯：

第一檔次：不會影響基本理解和會話的單詞
重要的：important；

基本的：basic:

迫使：force
??? The president was forced to resign

第二檔次：雅思考試中經常出現的核心單詞
重要的: importance, vital,
??? It’s the most important thing to me.
??? It’s a matter of the greatest importance to me.
??? It’s the most vital thing to me.
基本的：fundamental, essential
??? the basic principle of law
??? the fundamental principle of law
??? the essential principle of law
迫使：compel
??? The president was compelled to resign

三、分類詞匯：
環(huán)境保護類、地質災害類

四、考試中暗含了辨別近義詞的要求
blame, condemn, scold,
You’re the one to blame (condemn)
scold: to speak angrily to sb, especially a child , because they have don sth wrong.

五、識記
（1）詞根：
幫助記憶：Mediterranean, ambitious/ambition, emigrant/immigrant, suicide,
推斷新單詞： pesticide / insecticide, herbicide, centipede, zoology, embryology

tract：拉、拽?? abstrac, distract, extract, protract, retract, subtract
abstract：abs(離開)+track = 拉離開=抽象的、摘要
distract：dis（分散）+ track= 拉散開來=分心
extract：ex（出來）+ track= 拉出來=抽取、萃取
protract：pro（先前）+ tract =向前拽= 延展、延長
retract：re（向后）+ tract = 向后拽=收回、收縮
subtract：sub(向下) + tract =向下拉=減去、扣除
