I'm afraid you have to stay in bed for a week.

Most of us are afraid to eat snake. 多數(shù)人不敢吃蛇。（意味相當(dāng)于因害怕而不敢，不樂(lè)意做）

John is afraid of losing his job. John總是提心吊膽怕丟了飯碗。（擔(dān)心或憂慮某事發(fā)生）
