Jason Katims seems to be planning something big for the sixth and final season of "Parenthood." Based on his statements at the 2014 summer TV press tour, he could be planning to kill off a character.

"One of the things I wanted to do with the season was to find one larger story that influences everybody on the show," he tells reporters at an NBC showrunners panel about a storyline that will run from the first through 13th and final episode of Season 6. "It's a huge challenge for this family and a kind we haven't seen before. ... I feel like we're going to be telling a story this year that we haven't been able to."

Katims also says that he was never considering cutting a character for Season 6. He raised the idea of a potential death during a recent interview with Buzzfeed as well.
