尊敬的各位嘉賓，女士們，先生們：


Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,


歡迎大家參加慶祝中華人民共和國成立60周年招待會。

Welcome to this reception in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of founding of the People's Republic of China.


今年是中華人民共和國成立60周年。對于有著五千年文明的中華民族來說，六十年只是短暫的瞬間，但就在這短短六十年里，中國已經(jīng)發(fā)展成為世界第三大經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易體。我們的GDP增加了77倍，平均收入增加超過100倍。中國在政治、社會、文化、教育和科技等各領(lǐng)域建設(shè)取得輝煌成就，全體中國人民享有前所未有的政治、社會和文化權(quán)利。中國從一個(gè)封閉、落后、貧窮的國家發(fā)展成為一個(gè)開放、進(jìn)步、繁榮的國家，每個(gè)中國人都感到無比驕傲和自豪！


China is a civilization of five thousand years. Compared to this history, sixty years is only a blink of eye. But it is exactly in this short period of time, that China has developed into the world's third biggest economy and trader. Our GDP grows by 77 times, and average income more than 100 times. Comprehensive progress has been made in political, social, cultural, educational, and scientific undertakings. The Chinese people enjoy an unprecedented political, social and cultural rights. China has transformed from a closed, backward and poor country into an open, progressive and prosperous country. Every Chinese is proud of such great achievements!


中國60年發(fā)展也給世界帶來了互利共贏的巨大益處。中國的廣闊市場使各國投資者分享中國經(jīng)濟(jì)快速發(fā)展帶來的利益，中國的對外貿(mào)易既帶動本國經(jīng)濟(jì)增長又促進(jìn)了伙伴國家的福利，中國對外投資的不斷擴(kuò)大為東道國經(jīng)濟(jì)社會發(fā)展帶來了機(jī)會。中國越來越和世界融為一體，成為國際體系的積極參與者、建設(shè)者和貢獻(xiàn)者。面對國際金融危機(jī)，中國作為負(fù)責(zé)任大國發(fā)揮著重要的建設(shè)性作用。在這樣的背景下，近年來中歐、中比關(guān)系呈現(xiàn)出全方位、寬領(lǐng)域、多層次的發(fā)展勢頭，為雙方人民帶來了實(shí)實(shí)在在的好處。


China's development in the past sixty years has brought enormous benefits to the world. Its vast market enables international investors to share the dividend of China's rapid economic growth. China's external trade not only serves its own economy, but also promotes the welfare of partners. China's overseas investment keeps expanding, which contributes to the economic and social development of the recipients. Today, China is integrated into the world more than ever before, becoming an active participant, builder and contributor of the international system. Facing the international financial crisis, China has played an important and constructive role as a major economy and responsible country. It is against this backdrop that China-EU relations have witnessed all-dimensional, wide-ranging and multi-level development, and brought tangible benefits to the Chinese and European people.


女士們，先生們，


Ladies and gentlemen,


中國的發(fā)展離不開世界，世界的繁榮穩(wěn)定也離不開中國。在中國傳統(tǒng)文化中，60年是一個(gè)輪回，既標(biāo)志著成熟和圓滿，又預(yù)示著新的起點(diǎn)。展望未來，中國將始終不渝地堅(jiān)持走和平發(fā)展道路，堅(jiān)持互利共贏的開放戰(zhàn)略，踐行科學(xué)發(fā)展，促進(jìn)社會和諧，并以自己的發(fā)展促進(jìn)人類的共同發(fā)展，為世界的和平與繁榮做出新的貢獻(xiàn)。


China needs the world for development. The world needs China for prosperity and stability. According to Chinese chronological tradition, 60 years fulfill a cycle. It symbolizes maturity and success, but it also heralds a new start. Looking ahead, China will unswervingly adhere to the path of peaceful development, uphold the win-win principle in its opening up, follow the guideline of scientific development and promote social harmony. Through its own development, China will contribute to common development of mankind and peace and prosperity of the world.

幾十年來，歐盟和比利時(shí)各界人士為中國和中歐關(guān)系的發(fā)展做出了積極貢獻(xiàn)，在這里我代表中國駐歐盟使團(tuán)及駐比利時(shí)大使館，向諸位表達(dá)最誠摯的謝意！


For decades, many people in the European Union and Belgium have made contributions to the development of China and of the China-EU relations and China-Belgium relations. On behalf of the Chinese Mission to the EU and the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for such effort you have made.
