第四集中，徐公公因為牽涉到貪污受賄被吏部請去調(diào)查，于是爾淳、淑寧、沅淇三個姐妹湊到一起商量對策：

爾淳：姐姐，柳大娘還有沒有其它吩咐？
英文字幕：Sis, did Madam Liu give us other instructions?

沅淇：還是那幾句，凡事小心，切勿輕舉妄動。
英文字幕：Just the routine like ''Be careful Don't make reckless moves.''

知識點1：
輕舉妄動：make reckless moves. reckless這個單詞在之前一篇就有提過，表示做事魯莽、沖動、不考慮后果。其實英語是很靈活的語言，重要的不是字對字的翻譯，而是解釋出字面的意思和包含的韻味，所以“輕舉妄動”我們同樣可以解釋為act recklessly, make a rash act, do something rash 等等，這個需要大家平時多積累，學會變通，遇到翻譯就能萬變不離其宗啦。

知識點2：
有名無實:nominal. 這個成語當然也可以翻譯為exit only in name, not in reality,這樣原文的意思也能表達的很清楚。來看幾個例句：

eg1. He is a scholar in name only,but not in reality.
他只是個有名無實的學者。

不過在口語對話中，這樣翻譯稍顯累贅，nominal這一個單詞就解決啦。You use nominal to indicate that someone or something is supposed to have a particular identity or status, but in reality does not have it.

eg2. She is only the nominal chairman: the real work is done by somebody else.
她只是名義上的主席, 實際工作是別人做的。

eg3. The managing director has the nominal power but he is a paper tiger and it is his assistant who actually runs the company.
總經(jīng)理名義上有權(quán)，可卻是一只紙老虎，實際管理著公司的是他的助手。（介總經(jīng)理也忒衰了...）

知識點3：
坐以待斃：sit back and wait for our doom.這里，doom作名詞時表示死亡，毀滅；doom也能作動詞，表示注定，固定句型是be doomed to...

eg4.The plan was doomed to fail from the start.
那計劃從一開始就注定要失敗。

和doom看起來比較像的詞有：gloom--昏暗，沮喪; gloomy--昏暗的，沮喪的; loom--逼近，平時閱讀時要注意分辨哦^^

知識點4：
for the time being:being這個單詞還能這么用哦，和human搭表示人類，放在time后面就表示當下、現(xiàn)在。看幾個例子就記住啦：

eg5. For the time being, I think there's no risk of our humanness being successfully simulated by program code.
暫從目前看來,我認為沒有必要擔心我們?nèi)祟愄赜械娜诵蕴厣珪怀绦虼a成功的模擬出來。

eg6. Not that I dislike the work, But that I have no time to do it for the time Being.
不是因為我不喜歡那工作,而是因為我目前無時間去做那工作。
