口譯話題：
最近，大城市白領(lǐng)中又有新詞流傳：逃離“北上廣”。所謂“北上廣”，是指全國三個(gè)超大中心城市北京、上海、廣州。因?yàn)榉績r(jià)高企、就業(yè)困難、生存壓力大，“北上廣”居之不易，一些白領(lǐng)開始逃離夢想之地，轉(zhuǎn)而到二三線城市或回到家鄉(xiāng)安放自己的青春。

媒體呈現(xiàn)的都是個(gè)案，至于有多少人逃離(或準(zhǔn)備逃離)，實(shí)際上很難統(tǒng)計(jì)。逃離之說，或許只是年輕白領(lǐng)對(duì)大城市高房價(jià)、高壓力的一種口頭抗議，還未形成潮流。可以肯定的是，有人選擇離開，但仍有更多人急著擠進(jìn)來。這時(shí)候，大城市就像真正的“圍城”。

口譯指導(dǎo)：
和寫作一樣，翻譯語言同樣可以生動(dòng)、形象。雖然翻譯語言受到原文表達(dá)的限制，但由于語言中大量存在同義詞和同義表達(dá)現(xiàn)象，翻譯在選擇詞匯時(shí)，同樣有著是否生動(dòng)形象的問題。

在譯題中，與“逃離”對(duì)應(yīng)的詞語就有flee, escape from, run away from等，選擇flee是比較好的，可以反映年輕白領(lǐng)們當(dāng)前對(duì)“北上廣”的恐慌，也符合新聞?dòng)⒄Z的要求。

“夢想之地”有網(wǎng)友翻譯成Neverland，比較形象，用該詞翻譯還可以隱指這些白領(lǐng)的夢想已經(jīng)破滅。

“安放自己的青春”這一說法，在英語中較難表達(dá)，網(wǎng)友提供的翻譯中較好的包括：to burn their youth, to find their niche等，但筆者想到了respite一詞，翻譯成to give respite to their youth，是否妥當(dāng)，還請大家討論。

至于第二段，翻譯的時(shí)候要進(jìn)行一些調(diào)整。所謂的個(gè)案就是cases，從文意上看，媒體報(bào)道了一些個(gè)案，但并沒有統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)字表明這是一種趨勢，所以筆者使用了fall short of a trend來翻譯。

“口頭抗議”則用voice their protest來傳達(dá)。

在最后一句話中，“擠進(jìn)來”一詞有網(wǎng)友用flock in也是很形象的。用they will be reduced to the “besieged city”來形象地翻譯最后一句也是令人稱道的好譯法。

筆者的譯文（僅供參考）：

Recently, there goes around among white collars a new catchphrase, “to flee BSG”. The initialism stands for “Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou”, three largest cities in China. Due to escalating housing price, difficult job hunting, and high pressure of “survival” in these cities, white collars start to flee the Neverland they have had in mind. They now move to second- and third-tier cities or back to their hometowns to “give respite to their youth”.

Though cases are reported on the media, no one knows exactly how many have left (or are leaving). By using the word “flee” to nail down their action, young white collars mean to voice their protest against the high home prices and high life pressure in big cities, but the action falls short of a trend. On the contrary, while some are leaving, still more people are pouring in. In this sense, big cities are really “besieged cities”.
