滬江英樂 Young the Giant這支獨立搖滾樂隊2004年成立于美國加州。樂隊成員包括Sameer Gadhia（主唱）、Jacob Tilley（吉他）、Eric Cannata（吉他）、Payam Doostzadeh（貝斯吉他）和 Francois Comtois（鼓手）。

最初樂隊取名為The Jakes，2008年他們自己錄制了樂隊的第一張專輯“Shake My Hand”，彼時樂隊的兩名成員還在上高中，其余的也在不同的大學(xué)讀書。不久他們便決定擱下學(xué)業(yè)專心創(chuàng)作音樂。當(dāng)時還留在樂隊的Jason Burger后來離開了樂隊，去紐約追尋自己自由音樂家的夢想，F(xiàn)ranois Comtois就接替他作了樂隊鼓手。2008年冬天,樂隊贏得了一次網(wǎng)上競賽，從而得到了一次于2009年1月在芝加哥的藍調(diào)之屋為Kings Of Leon作開場表演的機會。兩個月后，樂隊又在奧斯丁的South by Southwest音樂節(jié)上進行了四場表演。2009年8月即簽入了Roadrunner Records旗下。12月樂隊宣布改名為Young the Giant。
