But first, American Idol judge Paula Abdul speaking openly about her secret addiction she says she faught for more than a decade. NBC's Chris Jeansing has that story. Over much of this season of American Idol, Paula Abdul has looked to be on top of her game. "It's a beautiful thing." It's a stark (全然的，絕對的) contrast to recent years when she seemed confused about which song the contestant (參賽者) was singing. "Oh my god, I thought you just sang twice !" "She said that it was constant and it was constant for many many many years." So what's changed? Abdul told Ladies' Home Journal that last Thanksgiving, she checked herself into a spa here in California. And in thirty days, without medical help, she kicked the painkiller habit. "I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain." She's quoted as saying. "It was excruciating (極痛苦的). But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been." But Abdul claims she was never on drugs for a taping of Idol. Abdul was on a roll for Rock Night Tuesday night.
