boat, ship, canoe, steamer, vessel, craft
這些名詞均含有“船”之意。
: 泛指任何大小的船只，尤指靠劃槳或風(fēng)帆行進(jìn)的無篷小船。
A boat is on the water.一艘船浮在水面。
: 含義廣，一般指大輪船，如航海船只，內(nèi)河航運(yùn)船只。
A ship sank at the junction of the two rivers last month.上個(gè)月一條船在兩條河的交匯點(diǎn)沉了。
: 指長而輕，用槳的小舟、獨(dú)木船。
They slid the canoe down to the water.他們使小舟滑到水中。
r : 指靠蒸汽發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)為動(dòng)力的船只。
He put her aboard a steamer bind for New York.他把她送上了一艘駛向紐約的汽船。
: 多指運(yùn)貨或運(yùn)人的大船。
We had sighted the vessel and were following it.我們已看到那船并在跟隨著它。
: 船只的集合名詞，但可指單獨(dú)的船只。
The harbour was full of pleasure craft.港口滿是游艇。
