比較常見，難度不大。 段落語義雖容易理解，但考生要切忌word by word 的直譯。比如段落多次出現(xiàn)feel這個(gè)單詞，如果全部翻譯成“感覺”，就顯得呆板，不切文意。考生翻譯的時(shí)候，要根據(jù)語境進(jìn)行調(diào)整。如“it helps you sleep better and feel more relaxed.”中的feel可淡化，將relaxed從形容詞轉(zhuǎn)譯為動(dòng)詞，譯為“放松自己”。“you will feel stronger”中的feel可譯為“發(fā)現(xiàn)”。另外，“Your heart pumps more oxygen-filled blood to all parts of your body with each beat.”這句如果直譯的話，會(huì)造成句子意群過多，長度過長，不符合漢語的表達(dá)習(xí)慣，所以要注意切分句子，化長句會(huì)小句。本句中暗含著兩層意思，一個(gè)是血液的含氧量會(huì)增加，另一個(gè)是，心臟每次向身體各部分輸送的血流量會(huì)增多?？v觀該段落，只要考生在平時(shí)多關(guān)注生活常識(shí)，對(duì)此類文章多加練習(xí)，一定會(huì)得到不錯(cuò)的分?jǐn)?shù)。

Now, in 2010, worldwide we have 38 cities with populations of over ten million people. 【解析】 statements總體難度不高，但是對(duì)于lay off，induce，overdue，moratorium，revenue，feasibility等詞還是需要同學(xué)們平時(shí)的多多積累。另外，做題過程中還要注意對(duì)數(shù)字的敏感度，如statement 10就出現(xiàn)了包括年份、人口數(shù)量、城市數(shù)量在內(nèi)的多個(gè)數(shù)字，千萬不要一定到數(shù)字就犯暈。其實(shí)做statement還有一個(gè)要點(diǎn)是聽出一些包含轉(zhuǎn)折、遞進(jìn)、讓步等含義的信號(hào)詞，本次的statement中出現(xiàn)了不少but，however，while，利用這些關(guān)鍵詞準(zhǔn)確把握句意是做題的關(guān)鍵。
