美國(guó)的學(xué)校的每層樓，宿舍區(qū)的每一個(gè)房間，都會(huì)裝有火災(zāi)警報(bào)器，每一個(gè)學(xué)期開(kāi)始不久，就會(huì)有專門的人員來(lái)檢查這些警報(bào)器是否能夠正常工作。這些警報(bào)器很敏感，有時(shí)候中國(guó)學(xué)生在廚房燒菜，油煙大一點(diǎn)，就會(huì)引發(fā)廚房警鈴大作。

今天突然間，火警大作。我們還在疑惑是不是誰(shuí)的手機(jī)鈴聲，就有工作人員推開(kāi)教室門，通知疏散。緊接著，我們就被指引從逃生樓梯，以最快的速度到達(dá)底樓。

我不得不欽佩美國(guó)人對(duì)人生安全的重視。其實(shí)這樣的警報(bào)，有可能是誰(shuí)在走廊抽了一支煙，也有可能是誰(shuí)的惡作劇或出于無(wú)心，按響了警鈴。但是只要有了不安全因素，就一定要等到排查后才能重新開(kāi)課。這幢樓，共八層，最后一個(gè)學(xué)生到達(dá)底樓空地的時(shí)間距離警鈴作響不超過(guò)15分鐘。這樣的效率和謹(jǐn)慎，讓每一個(gè)在美國(guó)教室里學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生都充滿安全感。

國(guó)內(nèi)學(xué)校對(duì)學(xué)生安全的關(guān)注程度沒(méi)有足夠的高，甚至很多學(xué)校從未開(kāi)設(shè)過(guò)緊急逃生課，從未普及安全防范知識(shí)。我們一起來(lái)看看美國(guó)對(duì)火災(zāi)的預(yù)防和逃生措施吧。

1.Plan a fire escape route and practice it once a year, change smoke alarm batteries twice a year, and test your smoke alarm once a month. The meeting place should be in the front yard. Don't do it in the back because you'll lose sight of your family. Plus, it's hard to get in the front without going inside the house.

2.Listen for the smoke alarm. After it rings, don't stay in your room. You must get out immediately.

3.Go close to your door. With the back of your hand, not your palm, feel the door. If it's cool to the touch, open it slowly with your back facing the door but also looking where you're going. If it's hot dial 911. If there is not a phone in the room, get a flashlight or something light colored and wave it at the window signaling for help. If it's not cool and not hot, just medium, open it slowly as shown when it's cool.

4.Crawl down on the floor after opening it. The cleanest air is found at the bottom. Get out of where the fire is, and leave the house.

5.Go to a neighbor's house and call 911.

6.Wait until the fire department comes.
