在我們?nèi)粘Ｓ⒄Z學習中，并列連詞在句子中出現(xiàn)的頻率是非常高的，對于英語學習者來說，我們一定要了解并掌握常見的并列連詞以及它們在句子中的用法，在并列句中，常用的并列連詞有，如：and，but，or，while，for，so，either...or...，neither，nor等.

either…or…主要用于表示選擇，其意為“要么……要么……”“或者……或者……”，
1.用于連接兩個性質(zhì)相同的詞或短語。如：
1)Love is a kind of feeling. Either yes or no. No mercy in between.愛情是一種感覺，有就有，沒有就沒有，當中沒有施與受。
2)Complaining is silly. Either act or forget.與其愚蠢地抱怨，只有選擇行動或忘卻。

在具體使用either...or...時還應(yīng)注意以下幾點：
連接兩個成分作主語時，謂語動詞通常與其靠近的主語保持一致。如：
Either you or I am to go. 你或我必須有人去。
但在非正式文體中，有時也會一律用復數(shù)謂語。如：
If either David or Janet come, they will want a drink. 大衛(wèi)或珍妮特來的話，是會要喝酒的。

除可連接兩個詞或短語外，有時也可連接兩個句子。如：
Either you must improve your work or I shall dismiss you. 要么你改進工作，要么我就辭退你。

的否定式可以是not either…or…，也可以是neither…nor...。如：
He didn’t either write or phone.=He neither wrote nor phoned. 他既沒寫信又沒打電話。
Either you or she is good at drawing. 變?yōu)榉穸ň鋺?yīng)為：Neither you nor she is good at drawing. 你和她都不擅長繪畫。

5.注意，正如不能說either…not 一樣(但可說not…either)，英語習慣上也不說either…or…not，如不能說：Either he or his wife hasn’t come. 可改為：Neither he nor his wife has come.

6.我們還可以單獨使用either，其意為"兩者中的任何一個"。例如：
There are many shops on either side of the street. 街道兩邊有許多商店。這個句子也可以這樣表達：There are many shops on both sides of the street. 在街道兩邊有許多商店。

用在否定句的句末，表示"也"的意思。例如：
If you don\'t go there. I won\'t, either. 如果你不去那里，我也不去。
