馬票
海南已開始探索制定有關(guān)辦法，擬對(duì)境外重大賽事進(jìn)行聯(lián)播競(jìng)猜，其中包括香港賽馬等國(guó)際知名賽事。馬票在香港由來(lái)已久，那么，馬票的英文說(shuō)法又是什么呢？

在上面的報(bào)道中，lottery on horse racing就是“賽馬彩票”，簡(jiǎn)稱“馬票”，就是跑馬場(chǎng)為賭馬者發(fā)行的彩票。Lottery除了表示“抽彩”外，還可以表示“碰巧的事，難于算計(jì)的事”。例如：Finding a job there is a lottery.（要在那兒找到一份工作全得憑運(yùn)氣。）Marriage is a lottery.（婚姻全靠緣分。）

現(xiàn)在比較流行的彩票有l(wèi)otto（樂(lè)透彩票），football lottery（足球彩票），welfare lottery（福利彩票）。購(gòu)買彩票的人就是lottery buyer（彩民）。彩民們到了lottery draw（開獎(jiǎng)）這一天都會(huì)特別興奮，都希望自己能夠hit the jackpot（中頭彩），成為lottery winner（彩票贏家）。
