不管擅不擅用作圖軟件的人，都或多或少聽說過“P圖”這個詞吧？P指作圖軟件Photoshop，一般來說明星和模特們妖嬈多姿的雜志封面照都是P過的，因為真人可能沒有那么完美。那么，“P照片”這個詞，在英語里是什么說法呢？

Britney Spears has allowed the pre-airbrushed images from a shoot she took part in to be used ALONGSIDE the digitally-altered ones, so people can see the difference.
布蘭妮近日同時公布了自己未P過的照片和處理過的照片，好讓人們看清這其間的差別。

上文中有個單詞：airbrush，是油漆噴槍的意思，在Photoshop這樣的作圖軟件出現(xiàn)之前，人們就是用airbrush來手動修改圖片的；在電腦作圖的年代，人們沿用了這個詞，于是P圖的英文說法就是airbrush an image；或者我們也可以說digitally alter

另外有個說法和中文更加類似，就是直接把photoshop當(dāng)動詞用：

Photoshopping is slang for the digital editing of photos. The term originates from Adobe Photoshop, the image editor most commonly used by professionals for this purpose.
P圖就是指用電腦作圖，這個詞來源于Adobe Photoshop軟件的名字。

像這樣經(jīng)過處理的圖片，我們稱之為retouched image；那么精通P圖的專業(yè)人士就可以稱為touch-up artist
